It is nice to see the methods you are using with Tim. I wish you the best, I know it will be benificial for the whole family to have Pepper as Tim's special friend. I have been adopted by my husband's (of 6 years) Red Lored Amazon, and I have discovered the joy of birds. He is special. I am also grateful you have so many good methods of researching Autisim. When my son was diagnosed in 1979 as a 2 year old the only info I could come up with was scarey and not at all encouraging. Thank God for the Internet. May you and your family find all you need with family, friends, and the professionals. You have probably seen the things dolphins do with Autisitic children, and it catches me in the chest everytime I see/hear of these methods that come up. With my son I believe it would have been horses that might have helped him break out of his private world, but that option dwindled away long before any progress could be made. May God give you strength and wisdom for the long road ahead. I wish I had the knowledge back then that is available today. |
